For all the budding researchers out there, here comes an exclusive workshop on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) by the highly qualified faculty of Chemical Engineering Department, NIT Warangal. CFD is a tool which uses numerical analysis to solve and analyze problems involving fluid flows. Any physical process can be modelled in terms of partial differential equations (PDE). Such PDE systems can be replaced by a set of algebraic equations which can be solved using computers. Various software such as ANSYS, COMSOL, STAR CCM etc. allow us to do CFD modelling and simulations. The results can be visualized in 2D/3D GUI. Such studies allow us to quickly assess a problem and save the expense of experimentation.
The workshop gives an exposure to theoretical concepts along with rich hands-on experience on ANSYS CFD.
Don't know much about CFD but wanna learn? Don't worry, we are gonna start from the basics. Hurry up! We have limited seats.
1) Laptops with ANSYS CFD installed.
2) For background knowledge, go through the first two chapters of the book "Computational Fluid Dynamics: The Basics with Applications" by John Anderson and John D. Anderson
You can download the free student version of ANSYS here: http://www.ansys.com/en-IN/academic/free-student-products
