Death Note, as you can guess, is an event based on arguably the best anime there is. Most of you anime fans must have wanted to experience the adrenaline rush that comes when the two best brains of L and Light confront. Ever wondered how it'd be if you stepped into the shoes of L or Light?
 

So who do you think was righteous: L or Light? Well, we leave that for you to answer. But we surely have the right event for you to come and test your wit and crime-solving skills by outwitting the Shinigamis(Gods of Death) and be the ultimate justice of the new world.

Round 1: Enter a New World

Teams compete against each other and try to win in this buzzer round. Teams will be asked questions which they have to answer based on their logical and deduction skills. The teams to answer the most questions win and proceed to the next round.

 

  

Round 2: Quest for the Shinigami

Teams qualified from previous rounds are tasked to find the Shinigami by interrogating the probable candidates. However, participants have to search the candidates based on various clues and solve puzzles on the way to their interrogation. The teams to find the true Shinigami in the quickest time advance to the final round.


 

Round 3: L vs Light: New Justice Unfolds

Qualified teams will be divided into two brackets, L and Light. Each bracket will be given a case to uncover its mystery and solve it. The teams from each bracket who solve the case first will be the final two teams. The teams go head to head in a deathmatch where they have to write their opponents name in a DeathNote by recovering their names from a puzzle. The last team surviving is declared the winner.

 

Round 1:

a.k.a.  Buzzer Round

1st team to press the buzzer and answer correctly: +5

But if the answer is incorrect: -2

(and the question is passed to the rest of the teams)

The correct answer on passed question earns you: +2

Deduction in score in case a passed question is answered incorrectly: -1

 

Round 2:

Teams are judged based on figuring out the true ‘Shinigami’, performance of tasks and total time taken.

 

Round 3:

3a) Scores are based on accuracy in deductions and quickness to solve the case. 

3b) Whichever team eliminates the other first…wins!

1) The maximum number of members per team:3

2) Usage of phones for finding answers online is strictly prohibited. If anybody found guilty, you will be disqualified.

3) Time spent by each team recorded by the event managers is taken for evaluation.

4) Different teams cannot form alliances between themselves to be quicker with the solutions, instant disqualification if         anyone/any team found guilty

5) Usage of cycles to save time is strictly prohibited in round 2.

What is the duration of the event?

It is a two-day event. Round 1 will be held on day 1 of Technozion. Round 2 and Round 3 will be held on day 2. 

 

What are the necessary items to be brought?

There is no need for any items for the event. If required, they will be provided.

 

Is the use of mobile phones or other gadgets allowed?

No, it is not allowed to use mobile phones or other accessories. If you are detected using them, your team will be disqualified.

 

Can the teams who don’t know about the Deathnote have a chance to win the event?    

Yes. The event is technically based on the logical, analytical and deduction skills of people. However, if you know about the anime, you will have a very slight advantage.
